We woke up yesterday morning to grey clouds and the sound of winter outdoors. You know, the quiet you hear right before it begins to snow and how the sky looks like winter? There is a distinct cool, dry smell to the air giving you a hint at what’s to come.
Only about three inches fell covering the tree branches and turning the grass and fields white. Most is melted from today’s warm sun and clear sky striking a show of opposites from one day to the next. Don’t you just love autumn in New York? I do!
Did you have any snow yesterday where you are? How much landed? Are you ready for winter or not quite yet? I think I need a few more weeks of fall myself.

Jill… I love fall too.. the rustling of leaves, warm breezy days and the anticipation of my favorite Holiday, Thanksgiving. Coldenham, NY reports about 3″ of snow during late yesterday and last night but all gone now to sunshine and gusts of wind. xo
