Our school holiday celebration takes place this morning and after all the singing and cookie eating, the kids will be home until after the New Year. We are almost ready for Christmas day where a family dinner will be happening here and plenty of visits to follow throughout the week.
There is a lot of activity still going on around the house with cards (thank you Pinhole Press!) finally in the mail box, gifts being wrapped and peppermint bark still needing to be made and eaten! Along with a few, OK a whole bunch, of salt dough ornaments still patiently waiting to be strung.
In the mix of all the holiday happenings, there is a rabbit named Hemingway who has been a very bad bunny. This is his first Christmas and apparently finds our tree rather irresistible. Oh that rabbit! He’s lucky he’s so adorable.
Although it has been quieter than usual around here, it will remain that way until after the holiday excitement has settled. I am looking forward to soaking up all those fun moments with three kids home, enjoying our family and friends and relaxing. I will still be working behind the scenes with a book proposal needing attention for an upcoming deadline (more on that soon!) and getting ready for a few upcoming workshops along with fireside reading and writing without our school schedules to break the rhythm of home.
Until then, I am wishing you a holiday filled with love and peace and excited for another wonderful year ahead.
Live Well
PS – The December Solstice takes place at 6:12 am EST – Happy Winter!!

Thanks and Happy New Year to you and your family!
You forgot to write the most important thing. “I have to get some amazing cookies ready to mail to Melanie and her lovely family. She is so awesome and deserves all the cookies.”
They are in a holding pattern over Warwick until January 3rd! xo
Claire is so adorable with that mini rolling pin! Aww! Loved your card too. xoxo
xo
Merry Christmas!!!
Happy New Year!
Loved your card SO much!! We are sending ours late this year because I couldn’t get my act together in time! Claire + Hemmingway = total cuteness overload! My heart is going to burst! Xoxo!!!
Claire and Hemingway are buddies. She is the only one he allows to chase him and let himself get caught by her. It’s ridiculously sweet!
Happy New Year!!
