Friday arrived fast this week didn’t it? Not that I’m complaining, but I would have loved a couple more days to work now that I’ve come out of vacation mode. I’m getting all sorts of inspiration and feel the need to act on it. I suppose it will have to wait until later.
One thing that can not wait another moment is Cole learning how to tie his shoes! The boy is weeks from turning eight and he still struggles with it. Although I have to say, thanks to my friend Caroline and her brilliantly simple idea, he went from not knowing at all to learning the basic skills. Now with a little more practice any shoe or boot shouldn’t be an issue. This is what he will be focusing on for the weekend although I haven’t told him yet.
Mark and I will be heading out tonight for our weekly Friday date and may go see a movie along with dinner. Usually it’s just too late to do both and we (I) get way too tired. I think if we see a movie first then grab a lighter meal after it should work out better. I’ll let you know.
Any movie recommendations? We haven’t seen one in quite a while and would love some suggestions!

I think we’re going to see ‘The Hobbit’ tonight… if I can stay awake!!
I think Skyfall is the winner for tonight. I’m going to be drooling a little over Daniel Craig!
We were torn over This is 40 and Lincoln too. But I think we may wait and rent those.
The kids are dying to see the Hobbit so we may have to take them over the weekend.

) Joking aside, thank you for the mention and I hope it works for Cole. HE is a smart cookie, so I know he’ll learn in no-time. Also, a really sweet lady emailed me the other day with a link to her blog. She made a variation of the practice board which was ingenious–she cut out the tongue of the shoe so her child could have a little more room. I will try to remember to email you the link because I thought her idea was so clever!

We went to see Skyfall. It was really good and I’m glad we chose it!
So happy I checked in…we NEED this in our home….kids just have been too lazy (ok I have) to really push the shoe tieing…Can’t wait to make this tomorrow! Thanks Jill and Caroline!
